Hello all!

As I prepare for my upcoming trip across the globe, I thought I’d share a few packing and traveling essentials with you. I always find it difficult to pack “light” when traveling for more than a week, but alas… I have managed to pick up a few tricks along my way of trotting around the globe! Today, I will be sharing my travel essentials, along with some beauty, tech, and of course, clothing packing tips with you all. Here we go…

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

  1. Camera (Just purchased the SONY RX100M3 and it is AMAZING!)–obviously, you’ll be needing to capture memories, but a smartphone also works.

  2. Extra phone battery charger– if you’re anything like me, you’ll need an extra phone charger after a day of snapping photos, social media, etc.

  3. WetOnes (Santizing wipes) & Hand sanitizer– no, i’m not a total ‘germaphobe’ but I do find these useful for those desperate times where you KNOW something is not the cleanest… (airplane seats!)

  4. Sneakers/Athletic shoes–always useful to have a pair on hand (walking/tours/workouts)

  5. Basic sandals

  6. Cozy socks–(is this weird?) I always pack cozy socks for wearing in the hotel, on the plane ride, etc. I also find them soo useful after a long day of touristy activities!

  7. Cardigan- ALWAYS pack a cardigan, even if you’re visiting the desert… it gets cold in many public places!

  1. Gather cosmetic bags of all ~different~ sizes- yes, it sounds ridiculous but as I have found out, it pays off to have a smaller sized cosmetic bag for the plane ride, on-the-go, etc. The larger cosmetic bags are of course, better for nightly essentials, makeup, and skincare products.

Different sized cosmetic bags I’m bringing (LeSport Sac, Lancôme, & Kate Spade)

  1. Pack YOUR skincare essentials– for me, I always pack a hydrating moisturizer, serum, face wash, and sunscreen! Below are some of the products I use (as seen on Instagram @styleandscrubs)

  1. One simple tip here… Pack a cosmetic bag or something similar to a cosmetic bag, with all your tech needs. Whether its your iPhone charger, extra battery pack, camera charger, iPad charger, etc. pack all your wiry, tangled, and necessary chargers in one bag!

C L O T H I N G (most important!!)

  1. Get clothing bag organizers! Lemme just say these organizers are life-savers. It keeps your luggage organized and YOU organized. I ALWAYS use these even if I’m just going on a weekend trip. It allows me to organize my outfits together and separate different clothing items too. The best part is, they come in all different sizes! I’ve linked the ones that I love below…

  2. Muji Store: http://www.muji.us/store/special-theme/muji-to-go/garment-organization-case.html

All packed & ready!

  1. Pack the essentials first- (i.e. undergarments) These are possibly the most crucial things to pack especially when you’re traveling to an unknown place where you don’t know where the closest Target is…LOL. But really, pack your essentials 1st into small garment bags or the pockets of your luggage so that you don’t forget when you’re piling every thing else into your luggage!

  2. Roll your clothing–Instead of folding it like usual, roll your clothing up so that they can easily fit into the garment bags, and it also tends to prevent wrinkles! By rolling your clothing, you’ll fit more tees, shorts, etc. into the garment organizer and save space.

  3. Pack ‘light’- With my upcoming trip, I’ll be traveling to 3 different countries in less than a month, so therefore, I am finding it useful to pack basics. For example, basic tanks, chino shorts, a few pairs of jeans, tshirt dresses, shift dresses, and cute graphic tees. Therefore, I can still manage to look stylish while not overpacking. Not to mention, there WILL be shopping sprees involved on my travels!

  4. Pack a reusable tote or Longchamp bag! I always find it useful to have an extra tote that I can just throw overflow items into. Also, this can be used as your “carry-on.”

Perfect bags to bring on a trip! (Cross body, longchamp extendable tote/carry on, and longchamp tote)

Thanks for reading ya’ll! I hope this post was helpful for those who have a fun upcoming summer trip and anyone else curious! Please be sure to check out @styleandscrubs on Instagram! xx.
